Science, the Karmas
The Indian seers do not view science as a very special and great activity. It is viewed as one of the karmas (deeds), like any other deeds of the human being. Everybody is scientist in his own field of work. Bhagwat Geeta has given great importance to Karmas according to ?Geeta Rahasya? by Hon. Bal Ganagadhar Tilak . The advancement in science by the scientists in all the fields is a Karma Yoga. (The secrets of the Karma Yoga is known to the self realized persons, or explained in the commentary on Geeta by Hon. Shankaracharya Chapter III). The scientists concentrate their minds on their projects for hours together. They forget their thirst and hunger, their families and friends, their hobbies and interests, their passions and posture, their clothes and look and almost everything. In fact they are in super consciousness state when they work on their project. They are free from worldly bondages and thoughts for some time. Their absolute concentration on the project creates the knowledge in their brains. ( Pradnya ). The project is their target of meditation. Project is their prayer and worship. Project is God for the scientists in any field of science. After decades of such concentration in their projects most of the scientists, we have seen, become the thinkers like Abdul Kalam , philanthropists like Bill Gates and believers like Newton .
The people of the world should mind it well that in human life, any new concept in any field of knowledge viz. arts, commerce or science and technology is only possible in the super consciousness (Samadhi) state of mind (the subtle body or Sukshma Deha), otherwise impossible. There is no doubt that the great scientists are the great saints of the modern age, and not the foolish persons as described in old holy books. The worldly looking wisdom of the scientists is no doubt a divine wisdom. The scientists and the saints are only two kinds of persons who spend maximum time with God, because God is present in Sandhi Kaal. (Time between joining of two time bound objects). Sandhi Kaal is the time between the two worldly thoughts. Though ordinarily, we common people do not know when one thought in our mind ends and another begins. The minutest gap between these two thoughts is a Sandhi Kaal when the God is 100% present. No doubt about it. The great scientists of the world are the great people who have the fortune to have the widest gap in their two worldly thoughts, when they work on their projects; naturally, having the maximum proximity with the God. It is therefore, proved undoubtedly that the great scientists are the Great saints. Somebody will doubt that the working on the project is also a material activity, how then the scientists remain with God? This doubt has no grounds. Because, when the scientists work on the projects they absolutely can't have any selfish thought at those particular moments when they fully concentrate on data, research or results. It is an appeal of the author to the people that let great scientists be worshipped like the saints/god men are worshipped in the human society.
In the opinion of the author Abdul Kalam, Bill Gates and the persons like them are the true modern saints and messengers of God, and hundred times better than the other so called saints in the human society; especially they are better and greater than most of the saffron wearing idiots in India. The author is not concerned about their religions, because in his opinion religion (in present meaning), is the most insignificant thing attached to an intellectual. Significant is only God. God is not the monopoly of the so called monotheistic religions or devotional religion of India. Rather God is not at all concerned with the man made religions and the discriminations. The monotheism and the devotional Hinduism are the hurdles in realizing the ancient Indian seers' dream of ?world be a family? (Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam). Religion can't take a single human being to God. It is impossible. Every great saint of the world has to come out of his religion to understand God. It is the Karma that takes one to God, never the religion.
All the Karmas lead to the Purity of Mind, the FIRST condition to attain God !
The ancient Indian wisdom proclaims that the Karmas lead to the purity of mind. This has a very in depth philosophy. It is said that ?Karmasya gatigahanah? meaning that Karma and its results is extremely subtle topic of knowledge. The author intends to write on these pages about KARMA very shortly.
Could scientist be able to find out God?
Honestly, God can't be a subject of research. Why ? Because God is not only the inspiration of research but research Himself. ?Pradnyanam Brahma? say the Upanishadas. God is comprehension of all the present, past and future. Since research can't be a subject of research, God is not the topic of research. God can't be seen, heard, touched, smelt or tasted.
