I have heard people say that only the soul is permanant and not the body. I am Balaji as long as my soul is in my body. Once it leaves, my body has no name.
In such a situation, why do we need to do pooja to our forefathers? Why is there the concept called "Pithru" when my great grandfather, whom I have not seen at all needs to be "fulfilled" or "fed" once an year or during No moon day (Amavashya)?

i would like to know from you how can we come over by conversion by christain and terrorism by muslim religion, because we are shrinking in terms of the society and land of india. eventhough we hindus are in majority. we are minority with in the minority. as for as i know that all religion are communal in character,sectarian and narrow outlook,but hindhu which is called sanathana dharma, has a secular outlook. we are loosing our identity in india because of phsudo securalism in our constitution spoiling the image our country which we hold today. the matadhipathis, temple authorities, saints and pandiths should come out openly condemn timid and cowerdly act of some muslim and christian followers.
