Is ATMA independent of the Body and does it not blemishes by the deeds of the body and ATMA remains PURE, PEACEFUL and LOVING''?
Who controls actions of body? There is so much violance perpituated by the Muslim Jehadis. A twelve year old boy is asked and he' as per instruction, slits the throat of another young man. Is it human or have we now turned animals?

Q 1 - You are right about what you have said about Atma (soul).
Q 2 - The actions of the bodies are controlled by Maya. Atma has nothing
to do with what body does; Whether it prays God or kill human.
Maya has independent reign explains Hon JagatGuru Shankaracharya.
Please refer the 28th sloka in Chapter 3 of Bhagwat Geeta.

There is no example of anybody caring for the children or anybody after death in the knowledge part of the Vedas called Upanishada (s).
Some stories in Puranas are just for (Sanskar), building good character.

It has been explained in vatious articles in website that the Gods
in the human mythology are imaginary. One is as liberty to choose
any one of the Gods for prayers whoes character is liked most by him.

Aatma and parmaatma or jeev and brahman are often called the same.Also in the scriptures, it has been told.But if they are equal,then why the aatman/jeev/soul suffers in different manifestations(yonee's) and the parmaatman/brahma/GOD is omnipotent,omniscient?why he is superconscious(all knowing) and the jeev is not even conscious about its own tru form,(considering itself 'the body')?

the knowledge of its original form.
Knowledgeable Guru can make one get rid of the clutches of Maya.
