Probably the best write up on the secrets of huge number of Hindu Gods, since past 1000 years !
1.He does not know why there are different sounds of insects outside. He is already frightened in his heart at the night time. In the same way human being is always frightened in the darkness of nescience. He does not understand why and how he is born. He does not understand why he has to face lot of calamities. He does not understand why his desires are not fulfilled. When he looks at the nature he does not understand who has created this. Under this circumstance, the creation of a character of God becomes necessary. Omniscient, Omnibenevolent, Omnipotent God becomes his faith. The scriptures, holy books, lectures of the god-men confuse him more. He is lifelong confused about God like a child is confused about Ghost till he attains knowledge. If there is some strange sound outside his home, the child thinks that it must be the voice of ghost. In the same way the human being gives credit or blames God for any unusual occurring to him or in the society. This kind of creation of fake God becomes immensely necessary. This illusory God calms down the confused human being to some extent. Heaven, hell, punishment, sins etc. are the attributes of God farfetched and created in the same way, which keeps the restrictions on the human mind. These restrictions are necessary in the human society. A couple of days before the author received a mail from somebody named, Pravin Daniel. He wrote the author with all the respect. “Respected Swami Aniljee, immediately surrender to Jesus or you will go to hell with all your followers”. The author was not at all annoyed, because it was a mail from the nescience, not from that gentleman. The religion makes in depth impressions in the human mind about God, hell, sins etc. and the most of the theists are afraid of these things. They had not seen the hell in their life and there is not chance that any human being can see hell. Hindu religion and almost all religions have cleverly told that one gets hell after death. The confused nescient can’t even think that when their bodies will be buried or burnt how would they be able to go to hell? They are made absolutely mad by the religions. But this madness prevents the crimes in the society. This madness makes one behave nicely in the society. This madness makes one love etc. etc. The allure put forth by the religions that God heals the problems, is another reason for this madness.
2.Creation of God by the mankind has complementary and supplementary backgrounds, like the creation of ghost needs night. In the day time ghost appears. In the same way once a person gets true knowledge of God that the God does not exists and the whole of the creation is a creation of mind powered by the inner Soul, God ceases to exist immediately. The existence of Ghost ceases to exist; no sooner than the child grows up and understands that there was no ghost in the night.
3.Human being has created God and not that the God has created human being.
This may be an evidence for the Indians. All Indians know that there was no deity named Santoshi Mata before 60 years. The author remembers that when he was a child his father used to get a post card on his home address that all must worship Santoshi Mata or there will be a great loss to them. Millions of such post cards were sent to millions of people for many years. The message included an allure that if the reader sends the 100 copies of the post cards to his friends and relative, he will be bless by Santoshi Mata and his fortune and money shall increase. This propaganda has resulted in to erection of thousands of Santoshi Mata temples, hundreds of prayers and books are written on Santoshi Mata, and the climax is that there was a movie in the name of Santoshi Mata with a stereo type traditional story, that made the world record. So the Gods can be created.
Another is an example the author heard from somebody. In one of the town places in West Bengal (India) people used to sit beneath a big tree in the court yard, waiting for their names to be announced for the court hearing. The people waited for the “Tarikh” i.e. next date of hearing, because unless they get the next date from court they had to wait under the tree. Somebody put a stone under the tree and told the people that this God gives next date if worshipped and prayed. Soon, the God was made Goddess and named as “Tarkheshwari Mata”. The Goddess helps the accused persons by getting next date to them, was the propaganda made. Later a small temple was built under the tree and “Tarkheshwari Mata” named after the word “Tarikh” (date), became a famous deity.
One may ask question as to why the great Saints of India have taught the people to pray and worship the illusory God ?
The reasons have already been explained above :
